About Alexis
I have a strong foundation in supporting student learning through extensive observation hours, field experiences, and hands-on teaching. During my fieldwork, I taught several lessons that were adapted to meet the diverse needs of students, and in my student teaching placements, I fully led classes and full school days, ensuring every student understood the material. I have also worked as a substitute teacher across various grade levels, continuing to reinforce strong student understanding and engagement. In addition, I have gained valuable experience working in diverse educational settings, including direct work with children with special needs. My time as a Behavioral Technician and one of my student teaching placements provided me with meaningful, first-hand experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities. These combined experiences allow me to confidently meet students where they are and help them grow.

I plan to learn your preferred learning style so I can teach you in the most effective and encouraging way. I work hard to find the right strategies and resources to help every student succeed. I also have experience tutoring in college and have worked with students from K–12 as a substitute teacher. In addition, I’ve worked as a preschool assistant and as a behavioral technician, giving me a strong background in supporting diverse learners. My strongest subjects to help with are Math and Science for students in grades Pre-K through 8, but I’m confident I can adapt to many academic needs.
