About Hunter
I earned my PhD in Mathematics from the University of Vermont in 2023 and have worked alongside mathematicians collaborating with NASA to build computational models used to predict medical risk. I now work in finance developing advanced risk models. I bring that same real-world experience to my tutoring — helping students build the mathematical foundation, confidence, and problem-solving skills they need to excel in school and in their future careers.

A typical lesson focuses on working through problems assigned by the student’s teacher to ensure they get on track — and stay on track — week after week. When time allows, we work through additional practice problems aligned with the material currently being taught in class. The goal is to strengthen problem-solving skills, deepen understanding, and build confidence for quizzes and exams.
