About Yukie
Hello! I’m Yukie, a qualified early childhood educator with 6 years of teaching experience working with children aged 4 to 6 years old in Singapore currently based in Sydney.
I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood and a Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours in Early Childhood and Early Years. I will be pursuing my Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) at the University of Sydney next year.
Over the years, I have taught and nurtured children through their foundational learning journeys — helping them grow confident in early literacy, numeracy, and develop classroom readiness.

My teaching blends structured learning with play, encouraging curiosity, independence and a love for learning.
I believe every child learns best in a warm, encouraging and engaging environment — one that balances fun with meaningful learning outcomes! My sessions are tailored to each child’s pace, strengths and interests.
My lessons focus on early academic readiness for children aged 4–6 years, preparing them with the essential skills for a smooth transition to primary school.
Each session is 60 minutes, designed to be interactive, engaging and hands-on, using games, storytelling, and practical materials to build foundational concepts in:
- Early Literacy: phonemic awareness, letter-sound recognition, name writing and basic reading skills
- Early Numeracy: counting, number recognition, patterns, sorting and simple problem-solving
- Fine Motor Skills: pencil control, scissor use, tracing and pre-writing activities
- Listening & Focus: following multi-step instructions, turn-taking and confidence in sharing ideas
I adapt each lesson according to your child’s progress and learning style, while keeping it fun and age-appropriate. I also provide short updates and suggestions for parents to support learning at home!
