About Renee
Endgame technique and board vision often matter less than mastering basic king safety in the early stages of development. Refining middlegame planning and pawn structures helps students navigate complex positions through clear positional understanding. My ability to teach precise recording and notation ensures that players can evaluate their progress systematically over their chess journey.
Working with aspiring competitors, I have spent 8 years refining my methods to help students sharpen their thinking. I have spent many hours guiding young athletes who participate in regional circuits across Australia. Watching a student gain confidence after mastering a difficult concept remains the most satisfying part of my work.

You will find that our 9-minute analysis segments focus heavily on correcting recurring tactical errors. My Australian Chess Federation Coaching Certification informs the rigorous curriculum I provide for every match review. Having competed in over 120 rated tournaments, I know exactly what pressure feels like in a high-stakes game.
