My name is Qailah(Kayla) and I am studying to become a foundation phase teacher. I have always had a passion for helping others. I also have a great love for children and thought that this would be a great way to share my gifts with others.

About the lesson

From Learning to Read to Reading to Learn: What Your Child Will Master
English lessons are carefully designed around your child's specific school grade to bridge academic gaps and build lasting classroom confidence:

Grades 1 & 2 (Learning to Read): We focus on "cracking the code."
Your child will master phonics (letter sounds and blending), build a strong vocabulary of sight words, and practice reading short, fun stories to build early confidence and neat handwriting.
Grade 3 (Building Fluency): This is the bridge phase. We work on shifting away from robotic, word-by-word reading to smooth, expressive reading. Your child will expand their vocabulary and learn how to write structured paragraphs with correct punctuation.
Grade 4 (Reading to Learn): In Grade 4, reading becomes the tool to pass all other subjects. We focus on advanced comprehension (understanding *why* things happen in a story), formal grammar (nouns, verbs, tenses), and planning longer creative essays or school reports.
