My name is Jodie and I’m a passionate primary & secondary trained teacher.

I run a small local Academy in St Albans called Acadamax, designed to provide students with a well-rounded and affordable private education. I’m super excited to meet you and would love the opportunity to help your child out with their learning needs!

I love working with students of all backgrounds to build their confidence and engagement with learning. I bring a nurturing and warm approach to ensure your child develops the right fundamentals, learning behaviours and strategies to excel.

I build strong relationships with all my students and provide comfortable and nurturing support for your child's development .Together, I want to work with you to empower your child to become a confident and effective learner. And hopefully we'll all have a lot of fun along the way!

I create engaging and interactive programs that work on:
- A modern curriculum built on fundamental skills & knowledge
- A focus on critical thinking development
- Key social skills & learning behaviour development
- Helping students build the right learning strategies and frameworks that work for them
- Formative assessments to give parents and myself constant insight on a student's progress.

The goal is to create and fun and engaging learning environment that allows the students to thrive and build their confidence and skills. I teach students how to learn not just what to learn!

My Programs

At Acadamax, I create modern learning programs for students from prep to Year 10. As part of this process I do a free assessment and diagnosis of your child's learning needs.

I go beyond traditional tutoring by delivering tailored English & Maths education programs blended with inquiry based learning to create resilient and passionate learners with strong fundamentals.

Students are placed in programs that align with their abilities, social needs and targeted learning development goals. Our experienced educators tailor the curriculum to provide the best learning experience for each student, recognising that everyone learns differently. We help them discover their own most effective way to learn

Mimicking a regular classroom, students learn socially. This not only aids their classroom skills but also makes learning fun and fosters friendships. I work not just on their academics but on their learning behaviour, communication skills and social skills.

We tackle areas students struggle with, building essential skills and effective learning strategies across reading, comprehension and writing. Homework and activities are tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses

It takes a village to raise a child. Our passionate educators work closely with parents and students, offering valuable feedback, extra-curricular activities, and workshops to support learning both at the Academy and at school.

We foster positive learning habits by using modern incentive and discipline systems that help students develop the right attitudes towards learning and others. Our Academy economy and Classroom Job systems promote responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.
