About Eleanor
I am a primary school teacher in England and have a passion for supporting children with additional needs, as well as those from deprived background.
I have a degree in Childhood Studies which I obtains in 2017, and later went on to achieve my PGCE certificate to enable me to work as a teacher. I have 7 years working in schools using MAKATON regularly.
Within my family, there is a member who has an Autism diagnosis and uses MAKATON to communicate. Due to this, and my passion for learning, I decided to fully qualify in MAKATON and received my final training in 2021.

Within my tutoring lessons, you will learn the skill of talking with your hands. Although MAKATON was created for children and young adult with additional needs, it is a brilliant tool to use at home with babies to start communicating. Throughout my courses, I will teach key words and phrases from levels 1-5 to help you communicate with those you are passionate about. This skill can help families, teachers, nursery staff, speech and language therapists, to name a few.
