About Jenny
My name is Jenny, and I am a mum of 2 children. I understand how difficult it is as a parent to stay on top if your child's academic progress.
I am a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Officer, currently working at a Catholic primary school, where I have spent the past five years supporting students across a range of learning needs. I am passionate about helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and I understand that every child is unique, with individual strengths, challenges, and ways of learning.
I am currently in my second year of studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary), which complements my practical experience in the classroom. In addition to my work at school, I tutor children in literacy and mathematics, tailoring each lesson to suit the individual needs, abilities, and learning styles of my students. I also provide school readiness lessons for preschool children, helping them develop essential skills and confidence as they prepare to begin formal schooling.
I pride myself on being patient, calm, and approachable, creating a safe and supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My teaching and tutoring approach focuses not only on academic progress but also on fostering a love of learning, building self-esteem, and helping children develop the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
Whether it’s guiding a child through literacy challenges, supporting mathematical understanding, or preparing preschoolers for their first school experiences, my goal is always to provide engaging, meaningful, and personalised learning experiences that meet the needs of each child.
