About Jacca
Hi,
I'm a 19-year-old first year student of philosophy at the University of Edinburgh and have to sell myself a bit now so bear with me please. I attended Dame Alice Owen's school (having got in by exam) as one of only 20 children from my borough to make it, over half of which were guaranteed entry due to the sibling policy. At GCSE I achieved 8 As and 3 Bs, and 2 As and 1 B at A-level, including an A in French. I have a grade 8 in the violin and have been playing in orchestras since I was 10 and have attended the Royal Academy of music and played at many famous concert venues. In my first year at Edinburgh (which was cut short due to the current crisis), I was getting consistent 2:1 and 1st grades.
As a person, I am an older brother to two sisters who are 10&13 so often guide them through their work and am currently helping the 10-year-old prepare for her imminent entry into Year 7. I am a godfather to my youngest cousin and as the eldest grandchild have been babysitting children for many years. I am patient and adaptable to different kinds of children and will be very encouraging and enthusiastic. Other than that I play a lot of football, ping pong, love to rock climb and swim. Prior to any official sessions I'd be more than happy to call and chat to see if I'm what you're looking for.
I offer the lower fees due a lack of prior tutoring experience however I hope above showed that I am very capable of helping primary school children.
