I teach Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga styles with an emphasis on alignment and breath, for students of all levels (from Beginner to Advanced). During the class, we work on mindfulness as well as physical asana. I keep the class fun and challenging. Yoga has improved every aspect of my life and I try to pass on all I have learned to my students.
My classes combine both classical and modern yoga philosophies with a challenging and fun teaching style. I guide my students to a safe space for their bodies, giving the proper instruction for alignment and adjustments depending on their physical abilities. I also encourage my students to express their own style and challenge the posture (asana). We will be flowing through postures, practicing different asanas, breathing techniques and ending the class through a guided relaxation which helps you restore your muscles and mind. Each class will have a different flow, so you can experience many variations of yoga practice.
Before I discovered the magic of yoga, I graduated university in Russia with a Law degree and worked as lawyer for 5 years.
Yoga came to my life unexpectedly, when I tried it once on holiday in Turkey in 2010. Since then I started regularly practicing yoga, visiting different teachers and trying different styles (eg: Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Bikram, Kundalini).
Since then I have practiced yoga in several countries including; Turkey, Thailand, Russia, Bali, New Zealand and Australia.
The more I learnt about yoga and saw the way it positively improved my life, the more I wanted to share my experience with others. I started to teach at a local yoga studio in my home city in Russia and realised that I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching yoga to others.
In 2019, I moved to the Gold Coast and have continued practicing yoga, becoming further inspired by local yoga teachers.
I am a qualified yoga instructor with certification of RYT200, certified by Yoga Alliance. I was trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga principals. I have been teaching yoga for the past 8 years, with main focus on Vinyasa flow yoga, Hatha yoga and relaxation yoga.
I’m dedicated to creating a nurturing and safe environment for students of all levels.
