About Jaya
I am a Student with the University of Warwick, currently studying Child and Family Mental Health and Wellbeing. I also work as a qualified school Learning Support Assistant for children with special needs, and a Private Tutor in mainstream Maths and Science. As a lifelong learner myself with a passion for child development and formulating creative ways to teach and learn.
With Early years to Secondary teaching experience across the East Midlands and North London, in both mainstream and Special Education settings, I have developed a huge appreciation for the child-centred approach. Each pupil has their own unique profile of preferred learning styles and responses to teaching methods which is crucial to unpack when working with a new student.
I also love to share my hobbies and stories with students and learn more about what excites you as we work on your academic goals.
Aside from teaching, I am a creative professional and love film, baking, music and all things artistic!

I have tutored for over 5 years alongside working directly in schools and I pride myself on a personalised approach based on pupils' interests, ambitions and learning styles. Sessions last 1 hour online or at your preferred location, for pupils working towards SATs, Common Entrance exams, GCSEs and more. £50ph in person (plus travel dependant on location) or £45ph online via Microsoft Teams.
