About Janvi
I am a rising 11th grader and I have been a competitive speaker and debater for over 5 years now. This year I qualified for 2 national tournaments and was ranked in the top 60 at NCFL for duo interpretation. I am also a 2 time state qualifier for the state of CA and compete in public forum debate within my league. I specialize in speech with a focus on interpretative events. I also have experience coaching. In 2020 I started my non-profit organization Learn, perform and Inspire where we use the power of public speaking and democratic thought to expand literacy and communication skills. We run seasonal speech and debate sessions and donate all the money to various education causes. For example, this year we donated backpacks and school supplies to over 100+ students in Indian orphanages as part of our global giveback campaign. Additionally, I am a lead coach and volunteer my time to my own high school's middle school speech and debate program showing that I am a seasoned coach and can work with children pretty easily. Outside of speech and debate I also coach kids in other areas such as teaching Ukrainian students English as a volunteer of ENGin and I am a world literacy ambassador showcasing my interest in education and communication through literacy. I may be a high schooler but this helps me to connect to students on a deeper level and my public speaking experience sets me apart.

I will take students through in depth lessons starting from choosing topics they are passionate about and the style of speech best suited for them. Then, I will take them through the process of finding/writing a script and performing it to invoke emotions in the audience. It will be a fun and creative opportunity! If the opportunity surfaces I will also be able to recommend them to competitions where they can win many awards.
