About Richard
I'm a British musician living in Barcelona. I have a degree in music from the University of Southampton, where I specialized in composition and production. I play piano, guitar, and drums. As a professional producer, I've released music in various styles on international record labels. I'd be happy to share my knowledge and tips to help you discover and achieve the sound you're looking for.

My teaching approach is fully tailored to each student. We’ll build the lessons around your interests, goals, and musical style.
We can work with whichever tools you prefer. I have experience with Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Bitwig, and other DAWs. We’ll cover both the technical and creative aspects of music production, from fundamentals to advanced techniques:
Songwriting, structure, and arrangement
EQ, compression, saturation, and effects
Microphone placement and instrument recording
Mixing and mastering
Fundamentals of acoustics and psychoacoustics
All of this in a friendly and fun environment. Lessons are available in either English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or already have experience, the goal is the same: to help you understand why you’re doing each thing and achieve the sound you’re aiming for.
