About David

Hi, my name is David. I hold a certificate and a master's degree in Hispanic Studies, as well as a bachelor's and master's degree in Anthropology. I have been teaching Spanish for over five years and I have previously taught anthropology. I have worked with students of all ages in various locations in and around Montreal. I speak French, English, and Spanish, and I have some knowledge of Portuguese and Italian. In my classes, I teach Spanish as well as various aspects of the history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. I listen to my students and easily adapt to their interests and learning pace. I am dynamic, patient, and caring. My goal: make the students like and practice the Spanish language from day one in a warm and motivating atmosphere.

About the lesson

I am taking Spanish lessons with David and am delighted to see that I am making progress in several areas: improved verbal fluency, faster and more accurate listening comprehension (including when listening to different accents), better understanding of grammar rules, and a larger vocabulary (not just passive). What more could I ask for? This progress is thanks to David's intelligence; he has been able to recognise my strengths and weaknesses in Spanish. He always knows which path to take with a student to help them improve. His enthusiasm is contagious and helps us move forward. He is attentive and very patient. I highly recommend him.
