About Xenia

I’m Xenia. I have been in the creative field my whole life, working as a professional artist and designer. I hold degrees in both Art Education and Art Therapy, which means I care about your technical progress and your confidence.

My teaching is rooted in the European atelier method. We focus on real, foundational skills like the logic of light and perspective. However, I make sure the energy of my classroom stays soft and encouraging. I truly believe art is a skill that anyone can learn, but you learn best when you feel supported and grounded. I have worked with everyone from absolute beginners to students preparing portfolios for schools like DASH and New World. I am here to help you master your craft in a space that feels both productive and calm.

About the lesson

My Approach
I truly believe that art isn’t a mysterious gift you are born with. It is a skill, so you can learn it. My teaching is based on the European atelier tradition, which is a structured way of mastering the logic of light and perspective. I don’t want you to just copy a picture. I want to teach you how to see and analyze the world like an artist so you can eventually create anything you imagine.

What a Lesson Looks Like
I keep our sessions organized but relaxed. My favorite way to teach is through live demonstration. We paint or draw at the same time so you always have a clear example right next to you to follow. While we work, I provide real-time feedback and corrections. This hands-on guidance helps you understand the reasoning behind every stroke and every shadow.

Absolute Beginners: If you have never held a brush, I will give you a clear roadmap to build your confidence.

Portfolio Students: I specialize in helping students prepare for auditions at competitive programs like DASH or New World School of the Arts.

Adult Learners: Whether you want to master traditional oil painting or just reach a personal creative goal, we tailor the lessons to you.

Details

The Free First Lesson (Online Only): I offer a free 1-hour online evaluation session. This is our time to build a connection and see if we are a good fit. We will discuss your goals—whether you’re an absolute beginner or preparing a portfolio for DASH or New World and I’ll map out a personalized plan for our future lessons.

Travel Fee: For in-person lessons, I charge a $20 travel fee to cover my commute within the Miami area.

Webcam Lessons: Beyond the first free session, my standard hourly rate applies to online lessons.

Lesson Packs: The 5 and 10-hour packs are a great way to commit to your growth and secure a consistent weekly time slot in my schedule.
