About Kay

I’ve worked in visualisation for years and found that my favourite part of every project is helping others grow. I’ve mentored many people from their first 3Ds Max project through to senior roles, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see their confidence develop. As someone who learnt through persistence rather than perfect instruction, I know how important clear, patient guidance can be. Teaching allows me to share not just the “how,” but the “why” behind creative choices — helping others find their own rhythm and pride in their work.

About the lesson

Experienced 3D visualisation artist and department lead specialising in 3Ds Max, teaching everything from foundational modelling, texturing, and scene setup to refining lighting, rendering, and compositing final images. Passionate mentor with a history of guiding students and interns from their first steps in CGI to thriving senior roles across the visualisation industry. I teach with patience and clarity, explaining things in ways that video tutorials and manuals often can’t — helping you truly understand the ‘why’ behind each step.

Nicole could do with refining her basics of 3DS max but she is VERY quick at picking things up. With a bit more time she will become very adapt at using the program and has a great attitude and adptitude. A pleasure to tutor.
