I've been teaching professionally for 8+ years and in that time have taught a number of students, from complete beginners to roadworthy veterans. I've been having lessons from Michael for about 4 months now. Although I've been playing for 2 years, I was completely self taught and I had gone as far as I could. I looked into lessons to improve.
Michael immediately identified several major flaws in my technique which I wasn't even aware I was doing. I see him fortnightly and the change in my playing is huge. I almost feel like I've started again, technique wise.
The hour is a mix of deconstructing technique back to basics, which I then take away to practice. We also spend time analysing a particular song, play elements and I take that away too. Homework!
I enjoy Michaels relaxed approach to learning, I'd recommend him to anyone either starting from scratch or wanting to progress further.His lessons are always enjoyable and I always leave with something new to work on.
