Professional cellist in Southern CA offers private cello lessons for all ages and levels

Chris McCarthy is an excellent instructor for both young and adult students. He presents music concepts orally, visually (using props), and by demonstration. He uses the Suzuki method so I better understand how to apply necessary cello skills and techniques. Chris listens to my concerns and addresses them with ease. I've also become a better violin player with the skills Chris has taught me. His positive energy makes me want to practice. I am so fortunate to have found Chris McCarthy as my cello teacher.

Chris McCarthy is a talented musician and a fantastic teacher. He brings a lovely blend of discipline and fun to his students, which keeps them engaged and interested, while also fostering the love of the instrument they play. My son’s love of the cello seems to be reinvigorated after each lesson. We drive from south Orange County to Costa Mesa for lessons, and it is absolutely worth it. I have recommended Mr. McCarthy many times over, and will continue to do so. We are so grateful for his guidance.
