About Leah
I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, working mainly with college students. I have successfully guided over 150–200 students to improve their strategy, confidence, and tournament performance. My teaching philosophy is simple: build strong basics, think deeply, and play with discipline. I focus on openings, tactics, endgames, and game analysis in a clear and structured way. Many of my students have improved their ratings and developed sharp analytical skills. I believe Chess builds patience, focus, and smart decision-making for life.

My teaching approach to Chess is structured, practical, and focused on clear thinking. I build strong foundations in openings, tactics, endgames, positional play, and strategic planning. Students learn how to analyze positions step by step and make confident decisions. Communication is central in my lessons, as I explain ideas clearly and encourage questions.
I use creative training methods such as puzzle solving, game simulations, timed challenges, and analysis of classic and modern games. This builds calculation skills, pattern recognition, and board vision. Integrity is important to me, so I teach fair play, discipline, and respect for opponents.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and goals. Whether preparing for tournaments or improving rating, I focus on consistent progress, critical thinking, and strong mental resilience.
