About Saptorshi
I have been playing chess for the past 16 years. I have played in numerous state, national, and international tournaments in Asia, New Zealand, and Europe. (concealed information) Currently, I am a PhD student in New Zealand. I continue to play chess professionally and train ambitious players.

I start with analyzing past games of my students and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. I believe in training and paying equal attention to all sections of the game - opening, middlegame, and endgame. I make tailored training plans for my students and provide daily and weekly homework and targets.

Saptorshi is a fantastic chess teacher. As an adult student, I have really valued the balance he strikes of being supportive and encouraging, yet also being direct and frank about my level.
