About Sofia
I am a professional dancer from Mexico City. I have a Texas competitive dance background, as I did middle & high school in the States, but my creative development mainly took part during the last 3 years during which I was living back in Mexico. I am Contemporary focused, and also trained in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz-Funk, Hip-Hop, and Hula Hooping. I love dance in itself & the expression it allows more than any one style & I have professional experience in on-stage performance, musical theatre, concept videos, commercials, & music videos.

I believe that dance deserves to be approached from the heart, whilst developing a foundation of understanding the anatomy & physiology that allows us to actually move. My classes are structured in a way that prepares the body to work in the most efficient way possible, through clear explanation of anatomical processes & series of exercises that promote the utmost physical efficiency to allow for creative overflow.
