About Antonio

I've spent the last six years as a professional software engineer, working
on production systems for demanding clients where correctness and deadlines
actually matter. Before that I was the student staring at a compiler error
at 1 a.m. with no idea what it meant, so I know exactly how the material
feels from the other side.

I'm also currently working toward my Computer Science degree, which means
I'm in the same coursework my students are — the same calculus, the same
discrete math, the same late-night problem sets. I know what these classes
actually demand, not what they demanded a decade ago.

What you can expect from me: I show up on time, I come prepared with your
material reviewed, and I'm direct. If you're making a mistake, I'll tell
you plainly and then show you how to fix it. I'd rather you understand one
concept completely than nod along to five.

I'm patient with confusion and blunt about effort. If you put in the work
between sessions, you'll move fast.

About the lesson

I'm a professional software engineer with six years of experience building
production applications — desktop, mobile, and database systems — used by
real clients every day. I tutor students who want to actually understand
code, not just survive the assignment.

I work with:
• College students in intro and intermediate CS courses (C#, Java, C++, SQL)
• High school students taking their first programming class
• Career changers and self-taught devs building a portfolio or prepping
for interviews

Every lesson starts with your actual work — your assignment, your broken
code, your syllabus. You drive the keyboard while I ask the questions that
get you unstuck, because watching someone else type doesn't teach you to
debug. Then we cover the concept underneath so the next problem is easier
than the last one.

What I bring that a textbook doesn't: six years of writing software other
people depend on. I can tell you why a pattern matters in practice, how
professionals actually track down a bug, and which habits will carry you
from your CS class into your first real job.
