About Michael
As already mentioned, I have a PhD in English and Literary Theory and have been tutoring for 10 years now. I am also a published author and have extensive experience with formal and informal, creative and academic writing.

Unlike other areas of study such as math and science, there is no definitive right or wrong when it comes to English. It is entirely subjective which can often prove confusing or even overwhelming for many students.
I work closely with all my students to identify the areas in which they most need support and then provide a fully customised learning experience that not only helps them achieve their goals, but also remains fun and engaging.
With a PhD in English and literary theory and over ten years experience as a private tutor, I have developed a unique approach to supporting students that guarantees results from even the most reluctant of learners.
Typical sessions are 1 hour in length but can be extended to 90 minutes when required.
My services are open to students K 5 - 12.
