About Cosette
I am a distinction, English Major graduate currently in my last year of a Master of Teaching (Secondary). I have 3 years experience working in high schools: supporting classes and students from diverse backgrounds, and 2 years tutoring at a centre with the majority of students being from years 3-6.
In addition to my experience as an educator, I also have 4 years experience running activities and programs for high school students at the local youth group.

My approach to teaching is open and welcoming as it is vital for the student to be comfortable in the environment in order to achieve higher cognitive engagement. I base my classes either on the student's expressed areas for improvement (assignments, up-coming tests, homework etc.) or in lieu of that on NESA's English syllabus.
I aim to present the content in a way that is meaningful to the individual student as this also increases the engagement between the content and the student, and their capacity to relate and recall learnt content. The dynamic of the lessons are collaborative to foster self-evaluative habits, consistently provide critiques, as well as to engage the student in spoken academic discourse.
