About Jennifer
With over 20 years of teaching and professional experience (and seven kids which is a lifelong tutoring job), I bring both expertise and empathy to every lesson. My approach is student-centered, practical, and confidence-building. I believe that every learner is capable of mastery when given the right tools, clear guidance, and supportive feedback. My teaching philosophy is grounded in clarity, connection, and confidence-building. I believe that learning happens best when students understand why something matters and feel supported in exploring it at their own pace. I hate one-size-fits-all learning and I would never try to teach in a way that favors one style of learning over another. I also focus on developing study habits and critical thinking skills that extend beyond the subject itself.
Writing can be something loaded with intimidation and anxiety for people. I try and make writing and English accessible and enjoyable, building my students' confidence organically and at a natural pace.
