About Ben
I am a musician/guitarist from Southampton. I have recently completed my Masters in Music Performance with the University of Southampton.
During my Masters Degree, I had the opportunity to explore Music Teaching Methods, Music Analysis (Specifically Schenkerian Analysis), Music Theory and Music Performance.
I have gigged in various venues across Hampshire with different musicians over the years, and always work towards building professionalism in the industry.
As well as Professionalism, I am very patient and dedicated in making sure the student progresses with their goals. To help with student progression, I always ensure that lessons are fun as well as informative.

Hi there, I’m Ben and I am a guitar tutor from the Southampton area.
I have been playing the guitar for around15 years, in which most of this time has been dedicated to higher education. My qualifications include: Master in Music Performance, BA(Hons) in Performance Industries, RSL Level 3 Extended Music Diploma for Music Practitioners, Level 3 National Certificate and Level 2 BTEC First Diploma.
I provide 1:1 sessions for 1 hour or 30 minutes, depending on what suits you. Throughout your lesson I aim to help develop your skills as a guitar player and a musician, and I will be able to develop a plan of action in order for you to hit musical goals. This means planning your lesson to suit your ability and needs whatever your long term goals may be. I teach any age groups and levels, and I am able to provide a service that is tailored to your style of learning.I will also provide you with reading materials, which will support your lesson or give you the opportunity to revise and practice at home!
