About Aija

I have been a professional horn player in Los Angeles and Southern California area over 20 years and I have been teaching for over 10 of those years and what I love about teaching the most is to work with any student who wants to learn and help them learn in the best way for them. I always am fully committed to each of my students to set achievable goals and help them learn and succeed at new musical skills whatever they are.

About the lesson

I love helping my students set up a curriculum that will help them succeed. I work with each individual student to find a curriculum that works for them and their individual desires in what they want to learn . I am a professional musician for over 20 years who loves performing on various different stages. From concert halls with orchestras to recording studios for movies and different projects to outreach chamber music concerts. I love the variety I get to have as a performer which I feel reflects in the flexible way I am able to teach students and accomodate their different learning styles.
As a teacher/tutor I love helping students of all ages feel empowered in their learning. We start from the beginning with the basics of music reading and theory. We have a short lesson and then I assign a little reflection homework on each lesson so the student can really deeply learn the skill for the long term. I want each student to feel like they can walk away from each lesson plan with the skills to be able to practice the skills properly at home. Making sure along the way that we don't rush through the learning process so we really learn these skills truly properly. I love what I do and sharing the love of learning different musical skills.
