Professional Korean teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience offering lessons from beginner to advanced level

Perfect! My 12 year old daughter has just started learning Korean with Mia after taking a huge interest in learning the language by herself. Working with Mia has been wonderful so far, she puts so much effort into lessons and even continues to provide feedback and help on her work. I really appreciate the ways in which she is able to involve parents too so that we can see and hear what my daughter is working on. Mia's lessons are the highlight of her week!

Perfect! Mia is a very professional and friendly tutor. She is clearly passionate about teaching and genuinely wants to help her students succeed. I'm very keen to learn, but I also know that I learn more slowly than average. Mia has been incredibly supportive and adapts her teaching style to suit each student's individual needs. She creates a relaxed and encouraging learning environment, and I'm confident that I'll make good progress while enjoying the learning process.

Perfect! Mia is a fantastic teacher because she takes the time to answer any small query if hesitation you might have in a lesson. No matter how much I study, there will always be moments where something new comes up and she is more than happy to walk me through it every time. She makes sure as well that the examples she gives you are varied so that you're not just learning one instance, but instead that you're learning how a rule can be applied to multiple scenarios. This has really helped me to develop a varied way of conversing in Korean, rather than sounding like a textbook.
I truly believe that my Korean has skyrocketed in terms of my ability due to doing lessons with Mia. She is helpful, fun to talk to, and she has pushed me to try my best throughout the 2-3 years I have been doing her lessons. I could not ask for a better tutor, and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to dive into the Korean language.

Perfect! I've been studying Korean with Mia for two years, and I can't recommend her enough. She's diligent and patient, she has always made the effort to adapt herself to my pace of learning, and I am very impressed by her depth of knowledge; it's a blessing to have a teacher who can explain to you things like the Chinese origins of Korean words!

Perfect! 가족과 같이 한국어를 연습 할 수 있는 귀해 가 믾지가 않에서 혼자 연습 하기가 어렵웠어요. 하자만 미아 선생님의 도움으로 저는 한국어를 또 연습할 수있다는 자신감이 생겼습니다. 미아 선생님은 제 실력을 잘 홰석 했어 잘하는것들과 보족한 부분들을 자 맞아줘요. 쓰기와 읽이를 연습 할 이우 저이게 줬어요.

Not sure if the Korean is all right but to put it in English, I don't have alot of opportunities to practice to my family and going at it alone has always seemed hard. With Mia's help, I feel like I regained some motivation to practice again. She is great at adapting her lessons to meet your goals and needs. I felt like I was quite a unique mix of skills level between my spoken and written Korean skills and felt unsure. After the first meeting, she easily found lessons that could work as a starting point and quickly adapts lessons as needed. She is quick to spot areas where I may have learned something incorrectly and other gaps I have from only learning the language through spoken words.

Classes are enjoyable and relaxed environment. The pace is set by myself and my effort. I dont feel like I have to feel bad if I missed something in the homework.

Overall well tailored sessions and very welcoming.

Perfect! Mia is an excellent Korean language tutor whose teaching experience really comes through in her lessons. She has really helped me work through some grammar issues I had, and she is also quite flexible in terms of topics, special vocabulary, etc. Her homework is a great mix of reading, speaking, and writing, and thus her lessons feel more like an actual course which extends far beyond the in-person sessions. Strongly recommend, especially for anyone wanting to learn in-person in Edinburgh!

Perfect! I've just started lessons with Mia and can tell straight away I've made the right choice! She clearly puts a huge amount of effort in to best cater for her students needs, tailoring lessons carefully to meet their goals. Mia has a large amount of resources which she is happy to share, and goes above and beyond with her time and willingness to support learners. I can't wait to continue my learning journey with her!

Perfect! Mia puts a great deal of work into preparing each lesson. I have learned so much in a very short period of time because of Mia’s dedication. It is evident that Mia loves teaching which shows in the work she prepares and her teaching methods. Mia explains the significance and context of the parts of language we are working on making it so much easier to understand and remember. I highly recommend Mia if you want it learn Korean.

Perfect! Mia is an excellent tutor - I couldn't recommend her more highly. She is patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Mia also always provides feedback and quickly helps me to correct my mistakes. I am very happy with the progress I have made since I started taking lessons with Mia and I always look forward to her classes!

Perfect! I have been a student of Mia’s since April 2022. I have to say she has been an excellent tutor for me. I started from knowing only the Korean alphabet to now having conversational Korean. Mia expects you to work hard and manages to help you remember the Korean language by repetition and having an ordered learning program. She is an experienced tutor and will adjust her teaching techniques to try and help you learn. Homework is always given and short tests are used to consolidate your knowledge. I highly recommend her.
