My style of teaching focuses in depth on the basic foundations so as to build a greater complexity further down the line. I take pride in my lessons and my students, I always have lesson plans in place and, most importantly, I understand the necessity of comprehending how people learn, honing in on this factor and judging accordingly. Although very efficient and driven with my students I am a very warm, welcoming and relaxed individual, and my first priority is to make my students feel comfortable. I tailor all of my lessons to the individual student and every student has their own folder of learning materials and videos that I update weekly or accordingly.
If you are seeking a qualified and passionate tutor and somebody who is in the music industry who will help you/your children excel at their instrument and enjoy it, then look no further. Below is a list of the standards of each instrument I teach:
Guitar - all levels, beginner to advanced
Music Theory - all levels, beginner to advanced
Ukulele - beginner to intermediate
Piano - beginner to intermediate
Songwriting and Composing - beginner to intermediate
Bass guitar - beginner to intermediate
Production/Daw (Logic Pro) - beginner to intermediate

I'm a big fan of Bad Nerves, so when I saw that he was now offering guitar lessons, I reached out to him immediately. Prior to our first lesson we established a study plan based on my interests and goals: in just a few months I managed to play most of my favourite songs, to improve my hand movements, to pay attention to the rhythm, to read music sheets in a more effective way, and so on. I'm more than happy with how each lesson is organised, as we've got enough time to practise and to talk about other stuff. I even practise my English with him, I teach him some words in Spanish too. I highly recommend him!
I have been playing guitar for around 3.5 years and have been taking lessons with George for just about a year and a half now, and the amount of things I’ve learned in such a short amount of time is phenomenal! George really takes pride in his students and will spend some of his free time uploading useful videos and learning material onto your very own drive, where you can access this and look back at any time. George as a person is really friendly, funny, and hardworking and will make you feel so welcome and comfortable. I really like that lessons are based around your personal interests and goals. For example, if you're wanting to branch out to learn different genres of music, George will happily help you with that as he has knowledge of quite a few different styles himself! He always makes lessons fun and enjoyable and will push you to your potential for maximum improvement! I can’t recommend having lessons with George enough; he really is an amazing teacher, mentor, and person!
I have been playing guitar for 10+ years and felt stuck for a long time. I began my lessons with George and now I am refreshed and taking on new playing styles that have challenged me in so many ways. I strongly recommend learning from George, if you’re a beginner or advanced player - you will be challenged and learn a lot. George’s teaching methods are very rewarding as a guitar player and I will continue to take lessons.
I'd followed George through Bad Nerves for a long time, absolutely thrilled at how awesome they all were, and getting reasonably close with the band allowed for some more connections! Once I came to a point where I wanted to hone in my guitar skills, he truly stood out as the best option.
From the start, he instantly made an impression of genuine kindness and interest in helping and teaching guitar, with extremely easy-to-follow tips and advice.
But aside from teaching, George has some really amazing advice on all sorts of aspects. He's such a nice person to talk to and laugh with!George is an inspirational teacher. Positive, patient, and attentive, he has brought out a love of playing music for our two daughters. They actually look forward to music lessons…imagine that!
Lessons with George come highly recommended, if you’re looking for someone to light a fire for learning music, he’s your man.
The only downside is that I can never get on the piano anymore, it’s always busy!
