About Sebastian
I am an individual thoroughly committed to the art of performing, whatever the genre or style (though I do have a particular love for classical singing). I am passionate not only about my own performing, but about sharing my experience and helping others to improve. I love to teach and to watch the growth of my students. I take great pleasure in witnessing the confidence of my students grow as they improve.
I hope you will give me the opportunity to help you or your child experience the joy of good singing!

Hello!
I am delighted to be able to reopen my private singing studio for people of all ages and experience levels! I feel quite at ease in my role as a teacher and in addition to my professional experience, I believe a strength of mine is building the rapport and trust needed to effectively encourage learning and development.
I have substantial experience working with children as a singing teacher through my work at Mansfield State High School (currently teaching singing), BeXD create (currently teaching singing and drama), Downlands College Toowoomba and through my private studio. I feel very comfortable in a teaching role and find that I work well with kids. I have a valid and current blue card.
Additionally, I have worked with many adults and enjoy helping them improve their voices. I have taught adults to an advanced level but also many for whom this was not the goal. Whether you are looking to lead your band a bit more effectively, or want to not get so tired in choir rehearsals, or wish you could sing your favourite songs better, or just want to try something you've always wanted to give a go but have never got around to. Whatever your reason for wanting lessons, or whatever your age, I believe I can teach you.
In addition to my teaching work, I am regularly engaged by organisations as a soloist and member of ensembles both nationally and internationally, including by Opera Queensland, the Glyndebourne Festival and Ensemble Correspondances. I was also a member of the popular classical-crossover group, The Ten Tenors, for over 5 years. This afforded me the opportunity to tour the world and to better understand the art of performing in a wide range of styles.
I hold a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Queensland Conservatorium, as well as a Master of Music from the Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester, UK).
