About Mehdi
My background brings together two paths. I have a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and more than 20 years of professional engineering experience. Before moving to Canada, I spent many years teaching Physics and Mathematics at the secondary and pre-university level — that was where my own career started, and it remains the work I enjoy most.
I am currently completing my Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in Ontario through the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) process, with the academic and international qualification assessments already complete and the technical examinations underway.
What I bring to a tutoring session is the combination of a teacher's patience and an engineer's clarity. I have spent more than two decades using the same Mathematics and Physics that my students are studying — applied to real instruments, real systems, and real engineering problems. That perspective changes how I explain things.
I am also a parent of two school-age children, so I understand from the family's side what it means when a student is struggling and the household is worried. I am calm, methodical, and never frustrated by a student who does not understand on the first try — I simply look for another way to explain. Lessons in English; Farsi welcome.

I have over a decade of professional teaching experience in Physics and Mathematics from before moving to Canada, and I currently work as a senior engineer in the GTA where I use these subjects every working day. That dual background means I do not just explain formulas — I show students how the same Physics on their exam is solving real problems in hospitals, factories, and laboratories around the world.
Who these lessons are for:
- Grade 9 and 10 Mathematics and Science (Applied or Academic stream)
- Grade 11 and 12 Physics
- Grade 11 and 12 Mathematics (Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors)
My teaching approach:
Most struggling students do not have a memory problem — they have a foundation problem. Somewhere two or three chapters back, one concept did not click, and everything since has been built on sand. The first lesson is always diagnostic: we work through a recent test or homework set together so I can find the exact gap. From there, every lesson follows a clear plan — review the foundation, build the new skill, solve problems together, then have the student work independently while I watch and correct.
A typical 60-minute lesson:
- 5 minutes reviewing the previous session and checking homework
- 25 minutes working through the current sticking point
- 20 minutes practicing problems together with me thinking out loud
- 10 minutes of independent practice while I observe
What sets me apart: I am genuinely patient with students who feel anxious about the subject. I move at the pace the student needs, not the pace the curriculum demands. Parents tell me their children stop dreading homework after the first few sessions. Lessons in English; explanations also available in Farsi if helpful.
The first lesson is free — use it to see if my approach fits the way your child learns.

My acquaintance with Mr. Panahipour goes back 20 years ago to Atlas Copco Company. He is very specialized in the field of electronics and PLC .
He installed and commissioned the multiple wheel nut runner device for the aircraft wheels for Asman Airlines.
His friendship is very valuable to me and he is a capable, knowledgeable and expert person in his fields.
Working with him in the fields of electrical ,electronics, intelligentization and PLC is a source of pride for every individual and company.
I wish him success.Mehdi has great knowledge and experience in teaching Math.
I have worked with him in multiple jobs, and his methods of finding solutions are astonishing.View more recommendations
