About Eamonn

Having started quite young as musicians in different groups and on my solo project, I had the good fortune to work very early on with many professionals from the industry on stage and in the studio.
Teaching has always been a great pleasure for Me, I like to see my students take as much pleasure in music as I do.
Another facet of this same pleasure of sharing is about producing different artists. To help them realize their projects, from the demo to the radio.

About the lesson

Music production is a very vast subject, during my lessons, you will discover all the fascinating aspects of this discipline.

Understand the equipment (sound card, headphones, speakers, mixer, microphones, preamps, etc), understand the softwares (DAW, plugins, digital formats, etc.), understand the techniques (arrangements, MIDI programming, synthesizers) and above all, understand how to shape music with all that (chord progression, balance a mix, making it come alive, etc.) are all subjects that we can tackle together.

There are no prerequisites necessary to learn. The specificity of computer software is that one can fashion a tool adapted to oneself and not the other way around.

Following the adage about the man learning to fish, I base my teaching on understanding tools and technique rather than the use of a particular tool. The subjects I teach are therefore applicable on any platform / software.
Whether you are on Mac, Windows or Linux, using Reaper, Cubase, Pro Tools, Live or a hardware sequencer, anything is possible.

There are a lot of free and open source software out there that allows you to get started with little upfront investment (I don't work with pirated software). Do not hesitate to contact me if you want to work with specific software.
