Hi! My name is Shane (DJ SATO) and I have been DJing events for over 6 years now! I specialize in Weddings, Corporate Events, and Private Parties and have over 600 events under my belt so far. I started off DJing at Bars and Night Clubs so I know all of the ins and outs to securing your first gig! The first thing for me is I like to understand the Student’s experience level and goals, so that I can provide the best Lesson Plan: Level 1 Lesson: Overview of DJ setup (DJ controller, mixer, software) also an explanation of key functions (cue, play, tempo fader, EQ) -Beatmatching Basics -Understanding BPM (beats per minute) -Using headphones to cue up a track -Hands-on practice with student adjusting tempos to sync tracks Level 2 Lesson: Basic Mixing & Transitions -EQ control and how to blend two tracks smoothly -Techniques: drop mixing, blending, and filter transitions -Hands-on practice with student transitioning between tracks Level 3 Lesson: Using Effects & Creative Techniques -Introduction to common effects (echo, echo out, reverb) -Basic looping and hot cue usage -Hands-on practice incorporating effects into a mix.
