About Aahana
Greetings, I am a dedicated Hindustani violinist hailing from the illustrious Maihar Gharana, embarking on my musical journey in 2009 under the tutelage of eminent violin player Pt. Subal Biswas. His lineage traces back to the revered Pt. V.G. Jog and Lt. Tripurendra Bhowmik. Achievements: Awarded gold medals at the National Youth Festival and Zonal Youth Festival in 2019. Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani vocal (2014) and Hindustani Violin (2015) from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow, with a 1st Division. 1st division in Sangeet Nipun Exams (Hindustani music in Violin). Sur Samragyani award from the International Music Festival Nepal. Apart from Hindustani classical, adept in playing Light music genres like Gazal, Bhajan, Thumri, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Bollywood songs, Fusions, etc. Scholarships: Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) Ministry Of Culture Govt of India. Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, West Bengal. Scholarship To Young Artist (SYA) Ministry of Culture Govt Of India. With a rich tapestry of experiences, I continue to share my passion for music through performances, recordings, and teaching.
