About Leah
I am a Violin tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 850 students. My mission is to help learners become confident musicians while developing technical excellence, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with beginners, advanced performers, examination candidates, orchestra musicians, competition participants, and students pursuing personal musical goals. This experience enables me to adapt lessons effectively to different learning styles and ambitions.
I believe music education should inspire creativity while building discipline, perseverance, confidence, and personal growth. Through supportive mentoring and structured instruction, I help students overcome challenges and achieve meaningful progress.
Many learners have successfully prepared for examinations, recitals, competitions, orchestral opportunities, and advanced musical studies through my guidance. Their achievements continue to motivate my commitment to teaching excellence.

My Violin lessons are designed to help students develop technical mastery, musical understanding, artistic expression, and performance confidence through a structured and progressive teaching approach. I teach posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, rhythm development, tone production, sight reading, ear training, music theory, ensemble performance, and recital preparation.
Students begin by mastering posture, bowing technique, listening development, rhythmic accuracy, and intonation control. These essential foundations provide the framework required for advanced violin performance and long-term musical growth. Great emphasis is placed on developing proper habits that support confidence and technical precision.
As learners advance, lessons incorporate vibrato, shifting, advanced bowing techniques, expressive phrasing, musical interpretation, advanced repertoire studies, ensemble participation, and performance preparation. Technical studies and repertoire work are carefully balanced to support complete artistic development.
I encourage students to understand music as both a technical discipline and an expressive art form. Lessons focus on helping learners communicate emotion, creativity, and individuality while maintaining strong technical standards and disciplined practice routines.
Regular assessments, personalized practice plans, performance coaching, and detailed feedback help students achieve consistent progress while building confidence and musical maturity.
