About Akshay
When we practice yoga, we clear the space to begin to touch base with who we truly are, beneath the story, beneath the tragedy. “And that can infuse us with a sense of hope.” Yoga’s philosophy teaches that all the levels of our body and mind are connected—the musculoskeletal, the breath, the emotional, mental, and spiritual. When you go through a crisis or tragedy, your muscles tighten and the breath can become chronically constricted. “The body remembers the places we’ve held trauma and loss, even if we think we’ve let it go. And I have experienced the same when I had a bike accident back in 2016 which led to severe back injury and spinal disc herniation. I was on bed rest for almost 6 months no medication could help me heal my pain until I came across about yoga in my life. Then I decided to go to Rishikesh where I healed myself slowly mentally peacefully. I completed my graduation in yoga in 2017. My ongoing learning process has motivated and inspired me to keep working on myself. I am committed to deepening my personal practice so that I can continue to learn and share my knowledge with my students. Today I have shared my knowledge to almost 100 students. Helped them to heal from their own suffering, motivated them to move forward with healthy lifestyle, to cope up with their mental health and encouraged hopeless medical cases to inspire and then achieve the goal of better living.
