About John

I am a Professor of Nutrition & Health that has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students for over 25 years at various academic institutes in the UK, so have a wealth of experience to offer students aiming to learn more about Nutrition & Health and subjects allied to these disciplines

About the lesson

I believe that University education should empower students to become critical, evidence-based thinkers capable of applying their knowledge to real-world challenges in Nutrition and Health. My teaching philosophy emphasises active learning, scientific literacy, with real-life case studies and examples to encourage students to question assumptions and evaluate research findings. By connecting theory to practical applications I aim to expand student curiosity, confidence, and professional growth. In this way I create a supportive and challenging environment in which students develop the skills with a mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to improving health
