About Alessandro
I offer private lessons because, especially from experience, I know how much academic difficulties can have negative repercussions in everyday life. Therefore, in addition to improving performance, I try, above all, to make studying a more engaging and appreciable practice and less boring, schematic, or even a bearer of anxieties; moreover, I try to get the message across that low grades do not justify catastrophes or overall negative judgments towards the boy. From a more technical point of view, I have 8 years of experience with repetitions, and I often compare myself with my partner, who works as a teacher, to get any advice on how to better help the children I follow.

I try to avoid that the student focuses on mnemonically learning the topic with the sole purpose of a good grade, but rather work towards understanding the concepts, the ability to argue them discursively and having any connections in mind (for example, which historical reasons lead to the birth of the sentiments of Nationalism in the 19th century). To this end, during the lessons I encourage the use of schemes or summaries as tools to mentally re-elaborate the topics just explained; for more technical subjects such as grammar or mathematics, on the other hand, I try to provide as practical ideas as possible to have in mind the theory rules on which the various exercises are based, also encouraging to "keep fit" during the year exercises of older topics in order to avoid gaps. In general, I am more interested in understanding and / or developing competence in the subject of study, rather than preparing the single class assignment.
