About Nuha
I am a Public Health graduate student who works heavily with written assignments in my policy and research classes. In those classes, I have been trained to think of writing as an iterative process. So, by spending the most time brainstorming main ideas and developing an outline of specific details, the actual writing part is easy and less stress. My mantra is that writing is similar to making a sandwich. I also have experience helping students with writing assignments as a former tutor through Marco Learning, where I've provided feedback on content development, organization of ideas, and grammar/spelling. Lastly, I've worked as a teacher's aide for a year, helping students of all grade levels and ages with their essays and reading comprehension.

Writing is an iterative process that requires thinking about the bigger picture. What is the purpose of your writing? Who is your audience? What big ideas are you telling your audience about? Being able to answer these questions is also important in prepping your resume. Once you tackle the bigger ideas, you can think about the more complex, smaller details to support the bigger ideas. I then usually encourage students to develop an outline of their writing of the ideas to be presented in their story, or if the writing is fictional, walk me through a plot diagram. Visualizing the storyline or putting a sandwich of main ideas + supporting details helps one identify the right words for communicating these ideas. All students, of all grade levels and ages, will walk through this iterative process with me in their sessions.
