About Umaima
Hello! I am a Public Health and pre-med student in San Antonio, Texas, tutoring kindergarten through 12th grade in science, math, and basic English. Lessons are friendly, patient, and free of judgment. No question is too small, and no one should feel bad for not understanding something yet. Honestly, I've been in that position too, and I'm here to help in whatever way works best for you. My lessons use active recall and are planned ahead to fit each student. Together, we will build confidence!

Lessons are built on active recall, which means students practice remembering what they learn instead of just reading it. Each session begins with a clear, patient explanation so the topic is truly understood. Practice questions follow to help the lesson stick, and any mistakes are treated as part of learning and reviewed until everything makes sense. Materials are prepared before every session so each lesson fits the student's needs. I tutor kindergarten through 12th grade in science, math, and basic English.
