About Jane
I am a Canadian-born native currently in Australia researching and gaining experience in Australian politics and policy. I have a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Sociology, and a Master of Social Work from internationally regarded Canadian universities (Queen's University; University of Toronto).
I can provide academic support to High School or University students (undergraduate level) in discussing, explaining and reflecting on fundamental theories in both fields. I am also experienced in qualitative research methodology/methods and can provide tutorials in that field along with Nvivo tutorials.
Additionally, I am a public policy professional who has worked at a state-level government for the past 4 years. As an analyst in line ministries (Health and Social Services) and the central agency (Cabinet Office), I provide insight and exercises designed to improve your competencies and skills in policy writing, policy and program development process, program evaluation methodology, and stakeholder engagement.
Given my professional experience, I have been sought out by local youth organizations to mentor youth (16 - 24 years old) through career coaching, resume write and interview prep.
