About Hannah
I’m a professional French–English translator, writer and university teacher with 14 years of experience working with language at the highest professional level. I hold an MA in Translation and currently teach Master’s students at the University of Strasbourg. My translations have been published by Big Five publishers, and I'm represented by a literary agency for my own writing, too. What I genuinely enjoy most, though, is meeting new people and helping them thrive.
Whether you want to expand your mastery of written French, nail business-speak, or simply feel confident enough to head to France and converse with the locals, I promise to tailor our lessons to you and your journey, and get you having fun while you learn.

My lessons are friendly, practical and tailored to each student’s goals. I use conversation, real-world examples and personalised feedback to help students develop confidence and communicate naturally, while adapting the balance of speaking, writing, grammar and correction to their individual needs.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are held online. I teach students from beginner to advanced level, including adults and university students, and can support French, English, writing and translation.
I have 14 years of professional experience as a French–English translator, an MA in Translation, and currently teach Master’s students in literary translation at the University of Strasbourg. I am also a published literary translator and professional writer.
Whether you want to improve your conversational fluency, strengthen your written English or French, prepare for academic or professional situations, or develop your writing, I’ll build lessons around what you actually want to achieve.
