About Lily

Being a recent graduate, I am the first to understand the pressure, difficulty and anxiety surrounding the senior years. Whilst this stress is inevitable, understanding ways to alleviate this pressure through the guidance of tutoring can make an immense difference to a student’s studies. My lessons consist of an engaging approach to learning, including practical and verbal activities to enhance content knowledge. Despite my main role as a tutor, my position goes further than this to act as a leader and the student’s number one fan. My genuine passion for my studies, specifically English and writing, is evident through my lessons and I ultimately hope to encourage students to develop a similar positive approach to their own studies. I am currently studying a double bachelor degree of Law Honours and Justice (Politics and Policy) at QUT - a study area that encapsulates my passion for analytical writing and helping the community.

About the lesson

I recently graduated high school with an ATAR of 93.70, consistently achieving high grades across all internal and external assessment. As a tutor, my ultimate aim is to mitigate the unnecessary stress and difficulty of subject matter for students that is caused from a lack of understanding. Whilst the end goal of grades remains important, success in my mind for a student is the development of a positive attitude towards academia that assists in boosting their overall confidence and self-esteem. As consistency is key, lessons are recommended to occur weekly for the length of an hour in order to solidify content knowledge and understanding. To allow for easy access to lessons, the online platform of Zoom will be the predominant setting for tutoring. I believe that success is within reach for every individual, and I am equipped with a passion to catalyse achievements for students. I look forward to meeting you!
