About Ezinne

Hi, I'm Ezinne, a qualified Chemistry and Science teacher with over 10 years in the classroom and lab. I hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.

Over the years I've taught everything from Year 7 students just getting started to senior students working toward their ATAR in chemistry and science. What I care about most is making sure students actually understand the material, not just memorize it for a test. I keep lessons practical and I adjust my approach for each student, because no two people learn the same way.

I also bring a genuinely clean track record: a consistently high attendance and engagement from the students I've taught. If you're looking for someone patient, qualified, and serious about getting results, I'd love to help.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:
I've spent over 10 years teaching chemistry and science, and the one thing I've learned is that most students don't struggle because chemistry is hard, they struggle because nobody's figured out exactly where their understanding fell apart. So that's where I start. I dig into what a student actually knows, find the gap, and build lessons that close it directly instead of just working through a textbook page by page.

I like lessons to be hands-on wherever possible. Chemistry or Sciences makes a lot more sense once you can see a reaction happen or work through a real problem, rather than just memorizing definitions. I've used this approach in classrooms and in technical training settings, and it's consistently lifted results, in one program I ran, comprehension scores jumped 50% in the first term of using it.

Lesson Length
I usually run 60 minute lessons. If we're prepping for exams or working through a longer practical topic, I'll suggest stretching to 90 minutes so we're not rushing.

My Background
I hold Qualified Teacher Status (UK), alongside a Bachelor of Education in Chemistry and Master's in Guidance and Counselling. Over the past decade I've taught everything from students needing to rebuild the basics to high achievers chasing top marks, and I've kept a genuinely clean track record doing it, including a spotless lab safety history.

Who I Teach
I work with students from Year 1 through to Year 12, including senior students preparing for HSC, VCE, or other ATAR-contributing chemistry and science subjects. I'm just as comfortable with a student who needs to build confidence from scratch as I am with someone aiming for a top ATAR score. I also tutor adult learners who are picking up chemistry for career or vocational reasons.
