About Sarah

I am an Irish science teacher who has a 4 year specialised science teaching university degree. Ireland is renowned for its excellence in education. It is ranked highest in Europe for its prevalence in science, mathematics and engineering graduates. I currently work in a Ofsted Outstanding school in Ealing.

About the lesson

I cater for all abilities through differentiation. I am skilled at breaking down difficult scientific terminology into smaller chunks. Some scientific concepts are difficult because they cannot be physically seen. I will help make the intangible tangible. I understand the importance of prior knowledge and begin each lesson with a mindmap of prior knowledge. I relate the concepts to things that the student already know. This will then be built upon with notes and exam style questions with a particular emphasis on keywords from the marking scheme to maximize exam performance.
