About Grace
I graduated from the University of Chester in 2017 and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching ever since. I teach across the whole primary age range from reception to Year 6 and understand the curriculum. I live in Trafford, a borough of Manchester which still hosts grammar schools. Having passed the 11+ myself, I recognise the challenges which this journey can entail. Outside of teaching, I love to travel around the world, bake delicious delicacies, go for long walks and stretch myself with learning Italian and French.

As a knowledgeable and experienced teacher having taught across the primary curriculum, I can support your child with a tailored programme to scaffold their development in areas where they are feeling less confident in the classroom in a fun and engaging way. I have also supported children to successfully pass 11+ exams for grammar schools across each area of assessment and can support your child’s learning journey through the entrance exam process. First free lesson is simply a get to know you session! This would be a conversation of what you and your child are wanting from tutoring, discussing any previous reports from teachers and next steps which you would like to address through my tutoring sessions. I like to celebrate successes in learning and will build upon prior knowledge to support your child to feel more knowledgeable and confident in their understanding of concepts. I will then draw out a learning path to follow in the pack of 5 or 10 upcoming sessions to meet targets.
