About Louise
I am an enthusiastic and passionate tutor for GCSE English Literature and Language in the UK. I have nearly 8 years of English teaching experience with a range of age groups from year 7 to 13. I offer a tailored approach to lessons, adapting to the individual needs of the student and lessons could typically involve revision technique, exam technique, specific skill based activities (e.g. analysis, evaluation) and I am also able to provide guidance for oral assessments if needed. I currently tutor alongside working part time as an English teacher in a secondary school-where I have had great success. I also have knowledge and experience of both AQA and Edexcel (Pearson) exam boards and their mark schemes/ curriculums and criteria. I have taught both specifications in addition to being an exam marker for both exam boards. This has allowed not only for me to obtain a better insight into the exam boards requirements but has also allowed me extensive experience of the texts studied, particularly for Literature.
