About Mieke
Hi I'm Mieke! I have a BComm Honours degree in forensic accounting and have been working in the industry since 2019 when I graduated from the North West University in South Africa. (yes, I'm fluent in both Afrikaans and English). I'm also currently completing my CA(ANZ) studies so I am up to date with all the most recent international rules and regulations. Being a student (and working a full-time job) myself, I totally get the pressure of needing to stay on top of your studies while juggling life in general. If there is one thing I'm good at (apart from accounting of course!) it's knowing what to prioritize and focus on to get on top of those study areas that need a little extra TLC - all within a limited amount of time.

Accounting is a very practical and analytical topic and should as such be approached with the same learning methodology. Nonetheless, the above is only possible once the fundamentals of accounting are well understood. Typical length of a lesson will not exceed 50 mins, with at least a 10 min break if we're going for multiple sessions. I'm also flexible to adjust lesson timing to the student's needs and capabilities. This could be either online or in person depending on the location of the student. Accounting lessons may be beneficial for any high school or university student struggling with a certain accounting-related concept or the subject as a whole. Additionally, any person with little to no accounting background who would like to improve their knowledge of accounting in general could benefit from a few lessons.
