About Ben
Hi, my name is Ben Walsh.
I’m interested in doing some tutoring work either around Eltham (work) or North Fitzroy (home) or in between the two with Year 7 to 12 students.
I’ve been involved in education as a tutor, teacher and university lecturer for the past 20 years.
I’m enthusiastic about teaching and learning, I’m patient and I’m good at explaining things.
I am a qualified secondary school teacher and I have a current Working with Children Check. I work in education support at Eltham High across all the subject areas except Indonesian with an emphasis on Year 7 to 10 Maths and English.
I also have a B2 DELE qualification in Spanish and my French is low intermediate.

I have tutored adults and teenagers for many years at secondary and university level. I take a student centred approach to tutoring and try to make learning interesting by relating the subject material to real world examples so the concepts are easier to grasp,apply and retain.
