About AJ
Hi! I’m Alistair, a professional rugby player and a qualified teacher.
I grew up speaking both Afrikaans and English at home, so I know exactly how to help kids who find a second language tricky. Because I’m a pro athlete, I’m big on balance. I believe learning should be active and fun, not just sitting with a textbook.
I love working with children in the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–7) because it’s such an important age. My goal is to be a mentor to your child, using my teaching degree to help them get better grades while building the confidence they need on and off the field.

Because both languages are my mother tongues, I can explain complex concepts using relatable English analogies, providing a structured, professional, and supportive environment where your child can finally "get" Afrikaans and excel in their assessments.
